Australians just grind their teeth together in anger when they open their electricity bill and get told what their “Greenhouse Emissions” were – as if they should feel guilty and repent their sins and pay more and more to “save the planet” from their evil consumption – when Bob Brown and the Greens just blithely dropped the whole thing and moved on to other, more popular, issues.

None of them saw that he had less than 30 votes, just as none of them ever studied Global Warming seriously.

These are not equivocal predictions – no “may” or “could” – we were told the aussie drought was Climate Change and that it was here to stay.

In Queensland we held onto the floodwaters to long causing the Brisbane floods and built a ridiculous desalination plant.

From Canberra we got a ridiculous Carbon Tax which achieves absolutely nothing and gets worse and worse as the world fails to warm and we narrowly avoided unnecessarily buying up huge amounts of water, destroying agriculture, in a river system that has now flooded 2 years in a row.

The good folk who live around Lake Macquarie, and doubtless tens of thousands of other coastal residents upon whom new planning regulations are now impinging, deserve an explanation; and it needs to be a good one.”
