Earth Summit 2012 – Ha Ha and Oh No.

Obama and many others got short shrift at  the Copenhagen Summit by the emerging Third World and it looks like the same thing is going to happen again at Rio, June this year.

The Third World, taking their lead from China, will apply the principle of  The-best-defence-is-attack and will assault the decadent, hypocrite, West with strident demands.

Obama may not attend Rio Earth Summit, administration official says

” …More than 120 presidents and prime ministers from around the globe—including the leaders of China, India and Germany—have announced they’ll attend a high-level segment of the gathering, scheduled for June 20-22.
The meeting, which marks the 20th anniversary of the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, has major symbolic significance even though it remains unclear whether it will produce many concrete results…. “

Oh, it will produce results, just not the one the UN IPCC revolutionaries and the massive Green industry they created, were after!

Ha Ha? – The reason I laugh is that Obama cannot go to Rio without reminding US voters of a issue at which he failed badly, but if he doesn’t go he will be attacked in his absence and unable to troubleshoot it at all. Damned if he do and damned if he don’t. China and India will take over the environment agenda from the Leftist revolutionaries who started the Global warming scare, 3 decades ago now, only to see it fizzle out.

Oh No? – The bad thing  about the Rio Summit is that we will have to suffer a huge out-pouring of pseudo-scientific clap trap in the Mainstream Media, which will build up to a crescendo for the Summit and quickly die off later.

Here’s a recent one parroted on AUS SBS “Dateline” program – pure propaganda with no attempt at balance at all – not even lip service to balance the issues –

Power Play

“David O’Shea visits Schönau in the Black Forest, where residents literally seized power after the Chernobyl disaster by buying the local power plant and turning it into a cooperative. Which failed – the village spent so much money on it they could have paid their power bills decades ahead with the money and while the hapless power companies have to buy back this useless power when they don’t need it or want it, they then, to add insult to injury, have to supply the village with power when the wind dies down and of course, at Germany’s latitude, there is not enough insolation for solar power and the solar panels are purely decorative for 11 months of the year.

Now the Fukushima disaster has brought renewed interest in their success, along with a pledge by Chancellor Angela Merkel to close all Germany’s nuclear reactors. We are not told that this was stupid mistake and that the Germans had to immediately buy in their power from the French Nuclear grid next door! Fukushima was an accident, not a disaster – nobody was killed and nobody will be killed and the only “disaster” is the gross over-reaction based on superstitious fear. The Germans are hypocritically getting their power from a French nuclear power system which has produced the vast majority of French electricity for 5 decades now with no problems at all while the Germans quickly build coal power stations and rebuild their existing nuclear stations to keep their lights on.

But a fall in government subsidies is threatening to cut the supply of money to small producers and there’s concern the green movement could lose some of its power.” The German Government needs the Greens, but they both need to provide electricity, and wind, solar and bio-fuel are all demonstrated failures now on every level, but especially at providing baseload power.

The above documentary is an absolute disgrace because it fails to get to grips with any of these issues, even in passing reference.
